Looks like the Tundra Swans are beginning to make it to Aylmer and the tape at the Aylmer Wildlife Management Area says that there should be a lot of them in the next two weeks.
Since it is best to shoot there later in the afternoon, and I wanted to also do a trip to the Pinafore Park for a long time, I thought we could meet at the Tim Horton's on London Road across from McDonald's at 9 am on March 13th> I will hand out information about our trip as well as maps etc. . We can carpool and the ones who aren't driving can leave their cars at the parking lot across from TD Canada Trust (the old Zeller's plaza - by the Giant Tiger but closer to the road)
According to the Weather network we are supposed to have great weather. Sunny and high of 9 degrees Celsius or more..
Things you may want to bring:
Warm clothes just in case
gloves just in case
wide angle lens
any other lens you would like to have.there may be some macro opportunity at the Pinafore Park.
We will get to Pinafore Park at approximately 10:30am. I don't know if anyone has been there before, but there are some very interesting things to take photos of. Here is a link to take a look at. Please also look at the photo gallery.
At around 12:30pm or so, we will drive to Cravings for lunch. It is only about 15 minutes from the Aylmer Wildlife Management Area where the Tundra Swans are...here is a link to the menu.
After lunch we will drive to photograph the swans.
Here is a link to their site as well:
